Stranger Across The Hallway' is a poem that talks about people who are willing to do and give everything to someone who barely acknowledges their existence just to please and make that person see them as their special companion.

I feel your cold stares across the hallway
it gave me chills down my spine but it's fine
took your presence as validation to my existence
now I'm crying, begging you to touch my nose
we'll rent that apartment next to cemetery
if that's what you want
I'll do anything to make you feel seen
because I know you'll leave once the sun hit its peak
I'll force myself to pee at night
and act scared all the time
so I can see your silhouette
to make sure you're doing alright
you can leave your closet wide open
I won't mind the stench and skeletons
you can even bury me in those
or I'll let you peek in mine too
though I already know it'll bore you
so just come and visit when things don't go your way
find another house to haunt
or go to heaven
I'm still waiting down that hallway
waiting to be seen
