The world expands, and I stand still,
Caught between the past and my will.
The warmth of youth begins to fade,
Yet dawn awaits where dreams are made.
I fear the loss of sheltered days,
But yearn to chart my own new ways.
The bittersweet of stepping free,
Both daunting and empowering me.
For every chapter turns in time,
And growth demands the steepest climb.
Though shadows linger where I’ve been,
A brighter journey now begins.
